Debbie Reynolds Alive and Fabulous

Clout are retained for a second year to handle PR for the annual summer season of free theatre at The Scoop at More London amphitheatre, next to City Hall on the South Bank of the Thames. Pop8, a major new dance theatre piece set in Kentish Town, conceived by Antonia Francheschi, is to get its world premiere at the Lion and Unicorn Theatre in 10 preview performances from Tuesday July 21 - Friday July 31. Featuring video footage of a special performance piece “There”, filmed in Kentish Town, Antonia Franceschi and members of Ballet Black perform this visceral edgy new movement piece, with original music composed by Zoe Martlew and Allen Shawn, and a special piece choreographed by Mark Baldwin.

Private Thoughts, a new work by writer Alex Martinez that delves into the mind of a man haunted by fears that he may be a potential child abuser, is to receive its world premiere at Hackney Empire from Monday April 6 - Saturday April 25.

Tavaziva Dance: Wild Dog

There were once 500,000 African Wild Dogs and packs of 100 or more were not uncommon. Now there are fewer than 5,000. Wild Dog, the follow up to the company’s highly successful Heart of Darkness, features seven high-octane dancers, and delves deep into the unknown and articulation of the beast. Newly-released on DVD on Nov 23 2009, TEASERAMA was made in 1955 by glamour-girl photographer Irvig Klaw and stars America's legendary pin-up queen, cult icon Bettie Page and superstar stripper Tempest Storm. The 39 Steps

 

Dianne Pilkington, currently starring in “Wicked”  as good witch Glinda, is joining the new cast of the multi award-winning “The 39 Steps”, the West End’s longest-running comedy, that sees  4 actors between them play more than 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun and thrilling action. "The 39 Steps” celebrates its 1,500th performance in the West End on Wednesday May 5.

 


The Adventures of Jason and The Argonauts

Clout are retained for a second year to handle PR for the annual summer season of free theatre at The Scoop at More London amphitheatre, next to City Hall on the South Bank of the Thames. Winner of the 2006 Peter Brook Award for ‘up and coming theatre' and for the innovation of a season of free and accessible theatre, it has now firmly established itself as one of London’s unique theatregoing experiences. This season's productions are "Medea", a specially commissioned version of the celebrated Greek revenge drama, and a new family musical, "The Adventures of Jason and the Argonauts". 


The Big Chill

The Big Chill has engaged Clout Communications to publicise its exceptionally strong comedy line up at this year's festival from August 6th - 9th at Eastnor Castle Deer Park in Herefordshire. Acts include Dylan Moran, Noel Fielding, Russell Howard, Tim Minchin and Sean Hughes.

The Brothers Size

The highly acclaimed, Olivier-nominated THE BROTHERS SIZE is back this autumn in a newly reworked version with a brand new cast. The play, which wowed audiences and critics alike on its first outing last year, has undergone a restaging and and opened to sell out houses at the Grec Festival in Barcelona this summer. The tour includes a four-week run at the Young Vic from Wednesday October 8 - Saturday November 8.


The Humans

THE HUMANS, formed in 2008, are back on tour and will perform a trio of UK headline concerts in Spiring 2010. The band, featuring Toyah Willcox, Bill Rieflin (R.E.M), Chris Wong and special guest Robert Tripp, will perform at The Scala, London, on Wed 24 Feb. This is preceded by concerts at Leamington Spa Assembly on 22 Feb and Cambridge Junction on 23 Feb.

The Nick Ross Orchestra: Sounds of the Glenn Miller Era

Recapturing the sounds and memories of a bygone era, the Classic Big Band Sound of the Glenn Miller Era, The Nick Ross Orchestra presents an unmissable evening of music and song at Her Majesty's Theatre in the West End on Sunday October 18. With a line-up of saxophones, trumpets, trombones, a rhythm section and singers, the Nick Ross Orchestra faithfully recreate the classic Big Band sound of the 1940s.


The Rise and Fall of Little Voice

Lesley Sharp, Marc Warren and Diana Vickers are to star in the first major West End revival of Jim Cartwright’s multi award-winning play, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. Producer Nica Burns said: “With this wonderful play, you have to find your Little Voice first. To find someone of the right age – just 18 – who is as special as Diana Vickers is a gift. Having found our perfect Little Voice, I was delighted that the outstanding actress Lesley Sharp agreed to play her mother Mari and the charismatic actor Marc Warren, Ray Say. When Marc and Lesley first walked on stage together, the chemistry between them was instant. Clout Communications has been engaged by Nica to handle press for the production.


Thriller - Live: The World Tour

January 9: The producers of Thriller - Live, the acclaimed West End concert spectacular that’s been touring the UK since 2006, today announced that the show will embark on a 12-month worldwide tour, starting in Munich, Germany, from July 21. Additional dates have also been confirmed in Barcelona, Cologne, Zurich, Vienna, Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Prague, Warsaw, Copenhagen, Helsinki and Berlin. The production will then tour most other European countries as well as embarking on an extensive American tour within the next 12 months.

Former “EastEnders” actors Nicola Duffett and Elliott Jordan are to star in the 10th anniversary production of Philip Ridley’s acclaimed play “Vincent River”, about an East End mother seeking answers about the hate-crime murder of her son and the young man stalking her since his death. It will open at the Landor Theatre, Clapham, on Tuesday 18th May and runs until Saturday 5th June.

Whatsonstage Theatregoers' Choice Awards

The Whatsonstage.com's Theatregoers’ Choice Awards are the only major theatre prize-giving decided by members of the public, and a record 32,000 have voted in 2009. The results were announced on Sunday 15 February at a West End ceremony and concert at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Director/adaptor Russell Labey wrote and directed "New Boy" with Nicholas Hoult at the Trafalgar Studios. Composer Leon Parris won The Vivian Ellis Award for Best Musical: "Going Once", also The Really Useful Group Award for Most Promising Writer, The Warner Chappell and The Mercury Workshops Awards and the Cameron Mackintosh Bursary.
